Setting a new benchmark for Citroen the newly launched C3 e-HDi 70 Airdream EGS VTR+ emits just 87g/km of CO2.
While the variant might have one of the longest names in the motoring industry but it is also one of the most economical diesels, capable of 83.1mpg on the combined cycle. This new version of the C3 supermini is now the French carmaker’s most fuel and CO2 efficient diesel powered car.

The new model, first announced at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show, uses an innovative e-HDi micro-hybrid Stop & Start technology, combined with an efficient 68hp HDi diesel engine.

Jules continued: “Underlining the brand’s firm environmental commitment, a full 50% of Citroen cars sold this year emit under 130g/km of CO2 and there has been a five-gram decrease in average CO2 emissions for the European range as a whole.”
