Top 50 Garages in the UK revealed

The prospect of getting your car repaired can be daunting – particularly if you don’t know your local mechanic. However, now a new list has been revealed to celebrate the good side of car repairs.Telegraph Motoring readers voted for the top 50 garages in the UK as part of the Motor Codes Golden Garages Awards. In all, more than 4,000 readers cast their opinions for the best garages for servicing and repairs which have been divided into 10 regions.Now readers can vote for the top garages from the top 50 to create a shortlist of 10 that will proceed to the final stage of the national competition. The top 10 will be assessed by a panel of experts including Honest John, TV presenter Vicki Butler-Henderson, Professional Motor Mechanic editor Richard Bowler, Motor Codes director Chris Mason and Which? Motoring editor Richard Headland. The winner will be announced on April 6.The award comes after research by Motor Codes revealed that more than 14million motorists felt short-changed by their local service and repair garage, but 90 per cent of those using a Motor Codes garage were satisfied.If you’d like to check out the top 50 then visit goldengarages.co.uk – voting closes on March 22.
