The Next Generation Volvo S60 Concept

The Detroit Motor Show will witness the unveiling of the next generation of Volvo car, when the S60 Concept is officially shown for the first time. The Concept will give a strong indication of where the all-new S60 will look when it's launched in 2010.The Swedish manufacturer is keen to show off the car and it is not difficult to see why with the concept promising a sleek profile and sporty performance.A slightly bizarre twist to the design is the incorporation of Viking longboats into each of the headlamps; this is one component of the Concept which we don't expect to see in the finished production version!Volvo are also promising advancements in pedestrian safety; with the Concept incorporating a safety innovation that can detect a pedestrian that steps in front of the vehicle and activates the car's brakes, also promised are improvements to interior design and performance.Furthermore, The S60 will be a 'green' car with CO2 emissions at 119g/km, making it a category B car for VED purposes; with a 1.6-litre petrol engine, using an efficient Gasoline Turbocharged Direct Injection (GTDi) technology.For the latest Volvo Leasing deals, click the link.
