New Honda hybrid on the way

With Honda firmly looking at the hybrid car model for improving fuel efficiency and minimising harmful emissions the new Honda CEO Takanobu Ito has today announced plans to begin sales of the CR-Zsports hybrid model in the UK from the end of 2009.The Honda CR-Z Hybrid will sit alongside the existing Civic Hybrid and Insight models to provide customers with a choice of hybrid vehicles, as Honda looks to expand its environmentally conscience line up. You can also expect to see a Honda Jazz Hybrid, probably in 2010.honda-cr-v-hybrid-image-1Honda's latest Integrated Motor Assist (IMA) used in the Insight will feature in the CR-Z hybrid, along with other fuel efficient technologies - expect the usual such as regenerative braking and start/stop technologies, although these have yet to be confirmed.No more news about the performance of the car, as yet.
