Land Rover to Host New Show at Ancestral Home Eastnor Castle
Written By Claire Shoesmith Published On: Jan 27 2012Land Rover is to host a new show at its ancestral home at Eastnor Castle in Herefordshire celebrating 50 years of engineering heritage.
The two-day event, to be held in August, will feature displays of historic vehicles and give enthusiasts the chance to see some rare and prototype models of Land Rover vehicles.

There will also be entertainment, including parades, interactive games and demonstrations, as well as a special retail village and autojumble.
Mark Woodward, the show’s organizer, said: “I’m delighted to bring a new Land Rover show to Eastnor Castle. The two have very close links spanning over half a century and there isn’t a more suitable setting for such a show.”
Land Rover experts will also be on hand in a special restoration zone, where visitors will be able to see vehicles in various states of repair and watch demonstrations of restoration and maintenance techniques.
Land Rover Experience is also opening up its off road course in the grounds of Eastnor for attendees to drive their your own vehicle, as part of a surpervised convoy, on the same terrain Land Rover uses to fine-tune new products prior to general launch.
Land Rover last year celebrated 50 years of using the 500-acre Eastnor Castle Estate, located near Ledbury, to test the off-road credentials of its vehicles.
Eastnor Land Rover Show is open from 9am until 4.30pm on Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th August 2012.
