The Association of British Drivers, the ABD, has hit back at claims from the Government that the widespread introduction of Intelligent Speed Adaption (ISA) could reduced the number of accident injuries by 29% claiming the way the figure has been calculated is fundamentally flawed. Motorists have something to smile about in the New Year as the price of fuel at the pumps continue to fall with the news that Supermarket giants ASDA and Tesco are slashing around 3p off a litre for both petrol and diesel. The Environmental Transport Association has reported that it expects a record number of car breakdowns on January 5th, as many people look to cut motoring costs by doing without breakdown cover. Prestige car maker Aston Martin have released a short statement indicating that they have begun consultation with trade union partners over the implementation of a range of cutbacks to cut costs, as the current downturn bites.
