Built at the Honda plant in Swindon, the pricing of the new Honda CR-V has finally been revealed.
The vehicle, which goes on sale in January 2010, starts at £20,175 for a 2.0litre SE model and ranges up to £28,515 for the 2.0litre EX with advanced safety pack auto. Meanwhile, the diesel models start at £22,135 for the 2.2litre SE and range up to £30,515 for the 2.2litre EX with advanced safety pack auto.
The top-selling SUV is available with a new diesel powerplant – the i-DTEC – and an automatic gearbox for diesel models. Inside the cabin, there have been upgrades to the fabrics and plastics used to provide a more premium finish while a new audio console has also been introduced.
Honda’s 2.2litre i-DTEC engine made its debut in the latest Accord and produces 150PS at 4,000rpm and torque of 350Nm. The vehicle can reach a top speed of 118mph and can travel from 0-62mph in 10.6seconds. Despite this, fuel consumption remains competitive at 43.5mpg for the manual and 38.2mpg for the automatic. The car is also Euro 5 compliant, and emits CO2 emissions of 171g/km (manual) and 195g/km (auto).
The top specification EX models include full body coloured bumpers with DVD voice-activated satellite navigation, full leather upholstery with front heated seats, a reverse tilt mirror, panoramic roof and an eight-way driver power seat.
