Volkswagen Commercials appoint new head of operations

Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has appointed Matthew Bowden as Head of Operations responsible for new and used vehicle sales and managing the development of the Volkswagen Van Centre network.

Matthew will transfer from his current role as National Fleet Sales Manager for Volkswagen Passenger Cars to start with Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles in November. Matthew joined Volkswagen Financial Services in 1995 before moving to Passenger Cars in 1999 as Fleet Operations Manager; in 2004 he undertook a three-year overseas assignment with Shanghai Volkswagen in China establishing a planning function.

Commenting on his new appointment, Matthew said: “I’m really excited to be joining Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles at such a key stage in its development. With the launch of the new Transporter and the Amarok pick-up next year, my ambition is to do everything possible to ensure my team and our Van Centre network make the most of the great opportunities ahead.”

Simon Elliott, Director of Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles said: “I am delighted to announce Matthew’s appointment and am sure he will settle into his new role very quickly. He brings a lot of great experience and is excited about the opportunity of working with Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles as the Brand and its business continue to develop.”

I have aways changed my VW Transport Shuttle every three years and over the years have owned over 14 different VWs.

I have been a good customer of Colbournes but in Guildford Today I was extremely upset by my treatment.
Firstly the van that was provided as a courtsey car was full of: a dirty mattress, dirty towels, an empty water bottle and other personal items. On the back seat was a replica gun – how would the police in these times react to this!?

I have now been told that my van is leaking oil from the power steering system. The man in the garage told me to check the fluid every week.

I am a pensioner and I drive on my own a lot, how can I do this? Now I have been told that there is a fault on the steering. I want someone to ring me to talk about my concerns urgently.
