Swedish carmaker Saab has revealed prices for its new 9-3X model, with an entry point at a fiver below £25,000 the 1.9TTiD is the cheapest in the range. Currently trading with a somewhat uncertain future – the Swedish firm has sought protection from creditors in its home land and current parent company General Motors is embroiled in its own troubles – the manufacturer is hoping their new crossover model will provide a welcome shot in the arm when it goes on sale in the UK later this month.

Initially available with a choice of two engines – the 1.9TTiD and a 2.0T XWD (cross wheel drive system) petrol – customers have the option of manual or auto gearboxes on either engine.
Available to order in May, the first vehicles will be hitting Saab dealerships in August this year, with Saab promising high levels of specification across the range including – leather & textile sports seating, ESP, ABS, leather steering wheel, and 17” alloy wheels.
CO2 emissions for the car start at 144g/km for the 1.9 manual diesel rising to 242g/km for the 2.0 litre automatic petrol.
