Fiat is celebrating its best monthly results in the UK for four years, posting 9818 sales and a 3 per cent share of the market.
The news flies in the face of Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) data released yesterday which reported that for the motor industry overall, September sales were 21.2 per cent down on last year.
Much of Fiat’s success can be attributed to the critically-acclaimed and award-winning Fiat 500, with 3624 selling in September alone.
