A replacement for Secretary of State for Transport has been announced, Geoff Hoon, MP for Ashfield will take over from Ruth Kelly following a cabinet reshuffle last week.
Mr Hoon has held a number of positions within the Labour Party during the last eleven years of government. Downing Street announced the news in a press conference on Friday.
