The BBC is reporting this morning that UK supermarkets are reducing their fuel prices. Asda is reported to be cutting petrol and diesel by 3p per litre, Morrisons say they will reduce their prices by 4p per litre and Sainsbury’s say they can top that by offering 5p off per litre when you spend £50 or more on food.
Wholesale oil prices have actually been falling in the latter half of this month and the supermarkets are at last passing on the savings. Asda offer starts from today, Morrisons starts from Monday, 28th July and Sainsbury’s offer starts on Thursday, 24th July until the 7th August.
Oil prices are expected to remain high despite the recent cooling in the market. The reprieve may be short-lived but worth taking advantage of.
