Motor industry apprentice training provider ReMIT is launching its National Recruitment Campaign at the British International Motor Show 2008 tomorrow (Press Day, Tuesday 22 July 2008).

ReMIT is the training arm of the Retail Motor Industry Federation (RMIF), and according to ReMIT Chief Executive Rob Foulston, the Motor Show is the perfect place to start the campaign: ‘We have 18,000 possible automotive apprentices on our books, and 50,000 businesses potentially looking to fill positions.

‘This year’s Motor Show coincides with the start of the school summer holidays, making it a popular destination for youngsters with an interest in the automotive sector. At the same time, the trade will be there in force. This makes the British International Motor Show 2008 the ideal location to bring together these two groups to meet us, and each other.’

Foulston adds: ‘ReMIT’s campaign is fully supported by regional youth support agencies.’

The British International Motor Show is being held at ExCeL London.  Visit ReMIT stand in the Careers Zone (Stand 72, Hall S1) to find out more about the campaign.
