Mitsubishi Motors in the UK has today announced the appointment of Nick Palmer to the role of Director of Aftersales, and Stephen Blackburn to take the role of Director of Business Development, with effect from Monday 4th August.

Nick Palmer
Nick brings considerable experience with him to this senior management position: Since 2005, he has been the Sales & Marketing Director at Suzuki GB PLC, responsible for their motorcycle, all-terrain vehicle and marine divisions, where he has increased their UK market share in every year.

Prior to his experience at Suzuki GB, Nick was Operations Manager at Ford Retail UK, where he gained considerable dealer experience as the Interim Dealer Principal of Heartlands Ford.

Nick’s previous roles with Ford Motor Company include: European Director of Customer Relationship Marketing for the Ford, Jaguar, and Land Rover brands in the UK, Managing Director, Ford of Poland and  National Manager for Israel Romania, Bulgaria & Albania.

Stephen Blackburn
Remaining based at Mitsubishi’s Cirencester Head Office, Stephen Blackburn will continue his presence in the company as Director of Business Development, a part-time role and as a Main Board member. His main responsibilities will be to develop the Company’s dealer property strategy and oversee the Pension Fund.

Jim Tyrrell, Mitsubishi’s Managing Director remarked that, “We thank Stephen for his dedication, loyalty and commitment to the Company, all of which have contributed to the significant success of the After Sales Department and indeed of the whole Company. Furthermore, we are delighted that he intends to remain a Director and fully involved with the ongoing success of the Company.”

“The change in Stephen’s role, however, provides us with the exciting prospect of having Nick join our team, and we look forward to his ideas to develop further our Aftersales operations.”
