The Honda Civic Type R is a common sight on UK roads and the numbers confirm that it is the biggest selling 3-door hot hatch in the UK.
From its launch in March 07 to the end of February, a total of 5192 customers got hold of the keys to a Type R, making it Britain’s most popular performance hatchback.
While over the same period, Ford sold 4778 of the 3dr Focus ST (all variants), while the 3dr Golf GTI (incl. Edition 30) recorded a total of 1984 sales.

Honda has also been listening to its customers as it introduced the GT grade – and a huge 90 per cent of customers now opt for this more comfortable, better-equipped Civic
The Civic scores big on the design stakes, it has a smooth but imposing stature.
While under the bonnet, the 2.0-litre VTEC engine produces 198bhp and it has a top speed of 146mph and will launch you from zero to 60mph in 6.6 seconds.
