Fiat 500C now available in the UK

The sun is out and its officially the British summer, what better time to release the hotly awaited new convertible from Fiat, the Fiat 500C!Available from today (July 2) the Fiat 500C combines the cool and funky nature of the hard top version of the popular city car but adds a twist of a fabric roof, which can quickly fold down for some alfresco driving.Prices start at £11,300 OTR for the basic 1.2 litre Pop version, which is a three thousand pound premium over the hard top 1.2l Pop.The convertible retains the same proportions as the standard version, measuring in at (355 cm long, 165 cm wide and 149 cm high).The Fiat 500 C offers a choice of three engines: two are petrol (a 1.2 litre, 69 bhp 8v and a 1.4 litre, 100 bhp 16v). The third is Fiat’s 1.3 litre, 75 bhp 16v MultiJet turbodiesel with DPF. Each one offers different qualities, but all are combined with five or six speed manual gearboxes. A Dualogic semi-automatic sequential robotised gearbox is also available for the petrol engines, complete with steering wheel paddle shift on the 1.4 version.All engines boast sophisticated technology, and are characterised by their lively and flexible feel. Among their common qualities are proven reliability and notable respect for the environment. They all conform to Euro5 emissions standards, and the 1.3 litre MultiJet diesel is fitted with a diesel particulate filter as standard. Co2 emissions for the diesel engine are 110g/km, while the two petrol versions emit 119g/km and 140g/km, the larger engine emitting the most emissions.
