Citroen sees 40% increase in SME sales
Written By Claire Shoesmith Published On: Jan 26 2012Citroen has bucked the market trend, increasing its sales of vehicles to businesses thanks to its special focus on small and medium sized firms.
Sales of vehicles from the French carmaker’s 90-strong business centre network rose 40 per cent in 2011, when compared with the prior year.
Sales of cars from the centres increased 71 per cent, while sales of light commercial vehicles were up 23 per cent.
Martin Hamill, Citroen's Head of Commercial Vehicles and Business Sector, said: “Owners of smaller businesses already have enough concerns without having to spend vast amounts of time focusing on and deciphering their business transport requirements. Yet the vehicles they operate often play a crucial part in their commercial success and require careful selection.

“The specially trained staff in Citroen's Business Centres understand the demanding nature of SME's transport requirements. They can advise SMEs on the most suitable vehicles and specifications for their businesses. They know about any relevant local or national regulations and restrictions, and give insights to the accounting benefits of the various funding and maintenance packages available.”
Citroen has a wide range of vehicles for companies to view at its business centres, including tippers, dropsides, Luton vans and more specialist vehicles such as waste collection vehicles, temperature-controlled vans and glass carriers.
